The Constantine is a Britannian seventh generation knightmare frame and the personal knightmare of Rolo vi Britannia (as he poses as Prince Lelouch vi Britannia) during the events of Code Geass Megiddo.

Appearance[]

The Megiddo rendition of the Vincent Gram. Design is not altered beyond the removal of some excessive features (namely the Luminous Cone projector and Schroetter Blades), as well as it featuring the Vincent GramNoir's color scheme.

Design[]

Following the theft of the Mordred, "Prince Lelouch" (Rolo vi Britannia) would request Camelot to manufacture a replacement knightmare for him. Based around the designs of both the Mordred and Lancelot as well as the Elyan, the Constantine would be "Lelouch's" new machine of choice upon his (re)entry into the Great World War.

Though forwardly designed around the actual Lelouch's fighting style, the Constantine is an entirely different knightmare from the Mordred. For starters, all weaponry is built directly in to the frame so that both hands can be used at all times. Its primary weapons are a pair of curved-bladed maser vibration daggers, which are stored directly on the forearms, such that they fold out into the waiting hand manipulators when employed. The daggers were designed to be used in conjunction with the Constantine's blistering speed, allowing for fast striking attacks that enemy units may not be fast enough to defend against. Aside from that, the Constantine also mounts a hadron launcher (based on the Dinadan's principle weapon) in its right shoulder (concealed as a standard pauldron) and a grappler claw on its left shoulder (also concealed as a pauldron). Two hip-mounted slash harkens and a left arm mounted Blaze Luminous projector round out this rather impressive arsenal.

Due to its highly unconventional form as well as the fighting style "Lelouch" employs when piloting it, the Constantine is considered a bizarre and unnerving design, symbolic of the noticeable changes in Prince Lelouch's character since the Black Knight raid on Pendragon. Several would remark that the Black Prince seems like as different a man altogether as the Constantine is different altogether from the Mordred, though none would realize just how true those claims actually were.

History[]

Following his "recovery" from the Pendragon raid, "Lelouch" (Rolo) would be sent to the Western Eurasian Front to support his brother Prince Hannes' (who had since replaced Schneizel as theater commander) offensive in France. Though not in command as he (the real Lelouch) had been in North Africa, Rolo would nonetheless take part in the fighting at any opportunity, pitting the Constantine against some of the best devicers and fighters Eurasia had to offer. Through this however, several (particularly Knight of Three Gino Weinberg) would take note of Rolo's shift in personality as best characterized by his fighting in the Constantine: belligerent, utterly merciless and emanating of bloodlust. As unnerving as these developments were alongside the Constantine's design (namely its eerie half-mask faceplate) however, none would otherwise suspect that the "Lelouch" fighting in Western Eurasia was a far different Black Prince from the genuine article...
