Background:[]

Mikhail Vasiliyevich Suvorov is the second protagonist in the Code Geass fanfiction, Flight of the Eagle. Alongside Aleksei Romanov, Mikhail serves as the apprentice figure among the Varangian Legion. He's often described as a lonely boy who experienced a tragic event in which he witnessed the death of his parents at the hands of Britannian soldiers in 2012 a.t.b. in the infamous Khabarovsk Massacre. Initially, he is the pilot of the prototype Knightmare Frame, the Rod before upgrading into the Rod Zero machine. His cold demeanor and anti-social behavior makes him one of the most unfriendly pilots within the Varangian Legion before meeting Anastasia Romanova in Japan.

Comparison with Other Anime Characters:[]

Like with Aleksei Romanov's character inspiration from Gundam Wing character Zechs Merquise, Mikhail's conception came from another Gundam Wing character, Heero Yuy. Both of them are anti-social at some point before meeting a princess figure. Though Mikhail is far more isolated and stoic than Heero, he rarely shows his emotions until when Anastasia was nearly killed in the Britannian defense of Novobelozersk (OTL Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Tarlac and Isabella province).

Unlike Heero however, Mikhail is not suicidal. He's more willing to settle disputes with brute force rather than through negotiations, as the tragedy of his parents' death played a role in shaping his behavior. Like many other Russians of his time, Mikhail desires vengeance against Britannia but as a personal vendetta.

Notes:[]

(The Flight of the Eagle series will undergo a major change in timelines and character development.)
