The Morganna is the custom knightmare frame of Princess Cornelia li Britannia in Code Geass Megiddo.

Appearance[]

The Megiddo rendition of the Quinn Roses Model-Z from Lelouch of the Re;surrection. The only real difference between the Morganna and the latter is that the Morganna lacks the Black Knight crest (obviously) on its chestplate.

Design[]

Developed at the auspices of Cornelia herself, the Morganna was essentially little more than an update, albeit a great one, of the Princess' custom Gloucester, which had been destroyed nearly a decade ago during the Black Rebellion. Indeed for its all power, the Morganna was functionally identical to the Gloucester, to the point of not only evoking its predecessor's original design (as well as Cornelia's personal customizations of it), but also its emphasis on speed, raw power and close-combat capability. In these areas, and several others, the Morganna well surpasses the Exeter and other eighth generation knightmare frames, which alongside its heavy personification, characteristic control difficulties and it being illsuited for mass production, firmly established it as a true seventh generation machine. A steed worthy of doing battle against Cornelia's intended foe and his own seventh generation Mordred.

Further on per the stipulations of its devicer, the Morganna is equipped with a select few armaments, which do not stray far from its Gloucester basis. Two slash harkens are mounted in its chest, a Blaze Luminous shield generator is placed on either forearm and its primary weapon is indeed a heavy lance. However, instead of the "basic" model that Cornelia previously employed, the Morganna's weapon is the destroyer lance. Essentially a scaled down "unnamed" version of the Ywain's Rhongomyniad, the destroyer is a durable and heavily empowered weapon, which like its basis can generated pure energy around itself to be used in a multitude of ways. From launching direct energy blasts to expelling shockwave upon the Morganna's charges, the destroyer lance is as versatile as it is destructive, granting its host machine the capability of engaging even the most powerful of opponents.

Outside these, the Morganna is also equipped with the "Magic Jet" booster system. While still in the experimental stage, the Magic Jet, when employed, grants the Morganna to acheive even greater speed and velocity, allowing it to almost literally run circles around its opposition. The main disadvantage of this however, is that the Magic Jet makes the Morganna even harder to control, giving even an experienced and physically honed devicer like Cornelia much difficulty. Even so, when properly utilized, the Magic Jet proves an instrumental capability in the right circumstances.

History[]

Following the Raid of Pendragon and her brother Lelouch's subsequent reemergence as Zero, Princess Cornelia li Britannia would come to seek vengeance upon Lelouch for the murder of their sister Euphemia. Thus intending to return to the battlefield in the not so distant future, Cornelia would find the Exeter she had used in Pendragon's defense inadequate for any future duel with Lelouch, and so would direct Britannic Defense Systems, the Empire's primary knightmare frame producer, to design a machine meant exclusively for her. The end result would be the Morganna, which would be completed some time during the Black Knights' entry into the Far Eastern Theater. Though unable to yet participate in the fighting there, Cornelia would spend that same period of time training in her new machine, honing her skills for the awaited day. Where justice would be done in Euphemia's name at last...
