The Baihu (Mandarin for "White Tiger") is an eighth generation knightmare frame utilized by the Chinese Federation in Code Geass Megiddo.
Appearance[]
Following along with the Four Beasts, the Baihu bears a general resemblance to the Chuyen from Oz of the Reflection. The main difference is that it forgoes the Sun Goku motifs of the original design, instead having an otherwise standard head that follows its lineage, as well as being colored in CLA standard green and red.
Design[]
Following the reemergence of the Chinese Federation, the Chawla Design Bureau, as part of the agreement for India to remain in the Federation, would produce a new eighth generation knightmare for the CLA, one based on the Four Beasts that preceded it as well as the highly successful Gekka line. As with the latter, the Baihu forgoes some of the more excessive features of its predecessors, namely baryon technology, but retains the high performance level and several other capabilities from the Beasts. This is most obvious with its outward design, which varies little from the Shenhu and the others, yet is visibly refined for ease of production.
Though lacking in baryon weaponry and systems, the Baihu retains the original models' Sheng Biao styled slash harkens, which can still be used as flails as well as deliver electrical charges upon contact. It can also be equipped with a jian based on the Shenhu's primary weapon, as well as a more conventional assault rifle and/or a bazooka. Aside from those armaments however, the Baihu's main feature remains its sheer level of performance, which is not far removed from its inspirations.
Overall, Baihu is one of the most effective knightmare frames of its generation, easily rivaling the Gekka as well as the Britannian Exeter and the Eurasian Loewe.
History[]
With production beginning just after the Order of the Black Knights' Operation Fubuki, the Baihu, as part of the Chinese Liberation Army's great rearmament program, was meant specifically to replace the grossly outdated Yaoguai as the mainline Chinese knightmare. As this is happening simultaneously with the CLA's recruitment/training program, CLA pilots were able to be trained with the Baihu from the start, allowing them to adapt to these new machines far more quickly than if they had originally used Yaoguais.
