The Urien is a Britannian prototype seventh generation knightmare frame and the personal knightmare of Oldrin Zevon during the events of Code Geass Megiddo.

Appearance[]

As described, the Megiddo version of the Lancelot Grail. No design changes made.

Design[]

As the third and final Project Camelot prototype, the Urien is a high performance seventh generation knightmare frame along the lines of its brethren, the Mordred and the Lancelot. That being said, under the auspices of its devicer, it has since been modified for an even greater emphasis on close-range combat.

For this intended purpose, it lacks the original Blaze Luminous shielding, VARIS Rifle and Maser Vibration Swords, and instead possesses twelve Schroetter Steel Swords as its choice weaponry. Made of a unique alloy known as Schroetter Steel alloy, the Schroetter Steel Swords not only possess super-hardness, but also has the capability of "cladding" in accumulated Blaze Luminous energy when attached to either of the Urien's wrist-mounted generator units, thereby turning into fittingly titled "Sword Blazers". The tradeoff of this process, however, is that the alloy is still experimental, and as such the any mounted sword will break after one use as a Sword Blazer from the accumulated energy.

The Urien possesses twelve swords mounted in two cape-like appendage racks attached to its back, with six swords on each side. These racks also have a weapon known as "Sword Harkens", where it fires the swords mounted on the back like a slash harken. There are three sword harkens on each rack, and each harken can have a maximum of two swords attached to it. Besides the swords, the Urien possesses two standard fare slash harkens on its hips, and two Factsphere Sensors stored in a compartment on its chest.

History[]

The third and final seventh generation knightmare prototype produced through Project Camelot, the Urien, or Z-02 as it was originally designated, was developed some time after Suzaku Kururugi began piloting (i.e. showcasing) the Lancelot, and so was intended as a production model. Unfortunately Z-02 on its own proved too complex and expensive for even a limited production run, and so ended up being shelved before any elaborate plans were formulated. As a result, it would not be for years later when a mass production (eighth generation) unit would be realized through the Exeter.

Even so, Z-02 would not be forgotten for long, namely upon Z-00 being unearthed and gifted by Suzaku to his friend Lelouch vi Britannia as the Mordred. Through this event, Princess Marrybell mel Britannia would learn of the last prototype's existence, and so seek it out and grant it to her own friend and knight, Major Dame Oldrin Zevon, who would extensively modify it to her own preferences. Rechristened the Urien, this knightmare frame would be greatly altered from its two older brothers, with an even greater emphasis on close-range capability through the elaborate usage of Schroetter Steel alloyed swords. Not long after these alterations were made would the first stage of the Great World War enact through the invasion of the Eurasian Far East, in which Oldrin, as both her liege's Knight of Honor and leader of the elite Ceridwren Knights, would take part. Many Eurasians would fall to Dame Oldrin and the Urien from those beginning days of the war onward.

Outside of fighting the EU, Oldrin would also notably take to fighting the Peace Mark remnant led by her estranged twin brother, Orpheus. Through this, she and the Urien would do much fighting against the latter and his Byakuen, oft ending in a stalemate between the siblings.
